The Lost Trail Adventure Series
🏷️Book I – The Obsidian Secret🏷️

One mysterious arrowhead. One hidden journal. One summer that changes everything.
Every summer, Emma and her brother Luke visit their grandfather, renowned archaeologist Dr. Eli Carson, at his secluded cabin near Medicine Lake in Northern California. Surrounded by ancient lava flows, towering pine forests, and sparkling obsidian, the mountains seem full of secrets, but this year, one discovery will lead them into a mystery thousands of years in the making.
When the children uncover an unusual obsidian projectile point, Grandpa doesn’t ask the question they expect. Instead of asking “How old is it?”, he asks, “Where did it come from?”
That single question launches Emma and Luke on an archaeological adventure through volcanic landscapes, ancient trade routes, and the detective work archaeologists use to uncover the past. Along the way, they learn that history isn’t about buried treasure; it’s about following evidence, asking better questions, and discovering the stories left behind by the people who came before us.
🏷️Constructions of Mythology: Mount Shasta, Atlantis and the Ancient Lemurians🏷️

The purpose of this research is to explain why people living around Mt. Shasta maintain a mythology that connects the origin and purpose of humankind to Atlantis and Lemuria. Accounts are based on historical and occult materials, personal narratives of transformative experiences, and paranormal phenomena. It is not my purpose to determine if the Lemurian Fellowship, I AM Group, Rosicrucians, Theosophists, and Brotherhood of the White Temple Church are part of a cult network.
Ethnographic research was conducted in Mount Shasta and the surrounding areas of Weed, Dunsmuir, and McCloud with those identified as participants in groups that support the belief in Atlantis and Lemuria. The results indicate that people in this area adhere to a worldview not based on rationalism as outlined during the Enlightenment era. Myths construct part of a worldview that differs from the dominant culture.
