Count Saint Germain is essential in Guy Ballard’s I AM narratives. Saint Germain sought Ballard and others to bring messages of the Ascended Masters to people because a new age was about to begin. Saint Germain showed Ballard the secret headquarters of the Great White Brotherhood and his past life as George Washington. Afterward, Ballard claimed he was in direct communication with the other Ascended Masters, which included Jesus, Moses, Saint Francis, and Buddha. According to Ballard, Saint Germain had purified himself and became a member of the Divine Spiritual Hierarchy group, which controls the lives of individuals and the Universe. According to the Church Universal Triumphant, Jesus was incarnated twice as the Emperor of Atlantis and aided the white magicians in a war with the black magicians. Due to the nationalistic undertones of the I AM group, Saint Germain is used as a symbol of the guardian of America.
The beliefs of the I AM group emphasize the power of positive thinking and the use of affirmations to create positive change in one’s life. There is a strong emphasis on the “Mighty I AM Presence,” which is said to be the divine spark within each individual. This presence brought existence through a spark in the divine Flame, which became individual beings. The fundamental belief of the I AM Movement is that there is one God who is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. The Great Central Sun is the center of the Universe, the source of God’s authority. The Saint Germain Foundation further explains, “When the individual says, “I AM,” he is using the creative attribute of the Godhead and announcing creating at his particular point in the Universe. The vibratory action of the word “I AM,” either in thought or spoken word, is the release of the Power of Creation. Whatever quality follows that Decree is instantly imposed upon the electronic substance of the ethers.”
The I AM presence is the light and the body’s cells, including the mind and heart. God is in action and demonstrates this through the Great Central Sun, an impersonal energy in the Universe. The Great Central Sun is one aspect of God that humans can identify, mainly because the material world of humans has the lowest energy level. Misuse of this energy will result in discord and is responsible for the present condition of humanity. The hierarchy of the spirit world rests on the evolved beings who can incarnate up and down the ladder. Spiritual beings, like Saint Germain and Jesus, are at a low level of spirituality and can easily communicate with humans.
Activities for I AM members include quiet contemplation and a repetition of affirmations. By completely accepting the “I AM” presence, people can become ascended masters themselves. The easiest way to channel the presence is to use affirmative commands that call on the I AM Presence, which can then be directed toward any concern. These affirmations are intended to acknowledge the individual’s attunement to God, also known as the “Mighty I AM Presence.” This devotional activity is repeated daily to neutralize the violet Consuming Flame within everyone. Colors such as red and black are to be avoided because they draw negative energy, unlike violet, which promotes health and well-being. Committed individuals to the I AM Movement are called “Hundred Percenters.”
