
I dusted off those old books on the library shelf and realized that her psychic abilities of telepathy and astral travel were questionable at best. I think she was out for fame in the 19th century as a spiritualist, but she did help popularize Eastern religions.
Several of her books are free to read, but I find them somewhat racist and lacking any depth. For example, she places wisdom in the “East,” specifically with Asian men. A lot of the channeled information reads like the ranting of a lunatic. I wouldn’t consider any of this work to be authoritative on the subject.
